This paint got its name for an unusual ability to turn into a tube, bend and not break. It can also stretch slightly, reminding the rubber with the appearance. Rubber paint does not contain substances harmful to health, it is not caustic and does not irritate the mucous membrane and respiratory tract. Therefore, you can safely paint the walls in the house, fences or even floors on its own.
The base of the paint consists of an acrylic polymer – a very persistent material that does not deteriorate at temperature differences, resistant to moisture, blows and other mechanical influences. Rubber paint is often used as a coating on tennis courts, in pools, on roofs, in garages, at sports grounds.
You will need: primer, brush, roller, water, container for applying rubber paint.
Before applying the paint, you need to prepare the surface. Clean it of dirt and align the surface with a primer if necessary. Use acrylate soil, which greatly strengthens any porous and old surfaces.
For the best result, it is important to choose the right consistency of paint. Dilute it a little with water and make a trial smear. Check the density of application and drying speed. Try to apply paint with different tools to understand how it is more convenient for you to work with and which result you like it more. To accelerate painting work and do not get dirty, put on a long wooden handle on the brush. Its length can be from 0.5 to 1.5 meters. When painting walls, start on top and gradually move down. Take a sufficient amount of paint on the brush, paint with wide waves, do not draw one place with a brush more than two times. If you need to apply a second layer of paint, you need to wait until the first. Otherwise, the paint can stick to the brush or shut up on the roller.
Spray of paint, accidentally flipping off the brush, quickly wipe with a damp cloth until they have time to dry out. From clothes, containers and tools, rubber paint is cleaned with water with soap. If suddenly, after covering, dark spots appear through the paint, cover them with acrylic soil on top, applying it in three layers, or apply a layer of varnish. Top, paint a primed place with paint.
