The most humid room in any living room is the bathroom, so it requires fairly strong materials for its cladding. One of them is rightfully considered mosaic tiles. It is made in the form of large squares on which mosaic tiles are located.
Before the process of laying mosaic tiles, the surface of the walls must be prepared. They are aligned with gypsum or cement plaster. The surface of the surface must be periodically checked using the level. When decorating the bathroom, you can also use several varieties of tiles, and make only decorative design from mosaic tiles, or make a picturesque panel out of it.
After buying the necessary tiles, you should proceed to gluing it. The procedure for laying mosaic tiles has its own certain nuances. The quality of its installation will directly depend on the chosen glue. It should be with an unimportant expiration date, correspond to a specific surface and not spoil from moisture. It is best for this purpose to use glue made on the basis of latex. At first, the tiles are pre -placed on the wall and their location is marked. Then you should proceed to the process of applying glue, which should only be laid on the place where the tile will be pasted specifically. Glue, it is best applied with a gear spatula.
Next, apply glue to the surface of the mosaic tile itself. This method, bilateral application of glue, is used for all varieties of mosaics. This makes the connection of tiles to the wall more durable. Tiles with already applied glue are glued to their marked area, pressed, and withstand it for several minutes. Having fixed several tiles, it is necessary to remove the glue that protrudes to the surface. In the course of work, you need to carefully ensure that all sheets create one even line.
After waiting for about 20 minutes, after the glue has grasped a little, it is necessary to remove the protective paper, which covers the surface of the mosaic tile. To do this, the surface is wetted with water, and after the paper darkens, it can be removed. Remove the paper diagonally. When all the paper is removed, the glue should be allowed to dry completely.
