Rifle foundations can be used wherever it makes sense to use piles. These are weak soils, including in a marshy area, slopes and areas where it is necessary to build a building in the immediate vicinity of growing trees. In this case, screw piles have several advantages over conventional.
Imagine that you decided to build a secluded house in the forest, and next to it is a bathhouse. Well, what else the foundation will cope with this task? Screw piles will hold the building on any soil, even if its bearing capacity is minimal. In addition, you can be sure that the roots of the trees will not damage the foundation: the round section of the pile of piles avoids this kind of damage. And besides, the use of screw piles will save the ecosystem untouched: after all, if you use traditional piles, the noise that will create a clogging technique for a long time scares all the living creatures for many kilometers around.

Rifle piles appeared in the middle of the 19th century: then they were used to build lighthouses and other structures in the sea and the coastal strip. And only at the end of the same century, this type of foundation was widespread in individual construction, faithfully proved its reliability in the most difficult operating conditions.

This means that you need cheaper construction equipment that can work in the most constrained conditions. Among other things, screw piles provide high installation speed, which also cannot but affect the cost.
After installing such piles, you can make a grillage. More precisely, it must be done if the future house is quite difficult. Well, if you build a house from a bar on stilts, you can most often do without a grillage. In fact, some grillages are very similar to the strip foundation – this is the same concrete monolithic structure, only it does not rest on the ground, but on piles or other spot supports.
Thus, we can safely say that screw pile foundations are a rather convenient solution in many difficult situations where other options are problematic to use. Using screw piles allows you to build better, more reliable and faster!
