The ceiling is an important part of the apartment or at home. Today it is difficult to imagine modern repairs without stretch ceilings. Of course, everything has their pros and cons, but we will note the main ones that we need to pay attention to before installing a stretch ceiling.
First, we note the advantages:
A) are simply installed – such ceilings are mounted without much effort, do not require preliminary preparatory work on the preparation of surfaces (alignment, applying plasters).
B) the surfaces look very beautiful. At the same time, all the shortcomings of the finish are hidden, and you can also close other necessary communications – electrical wires, gas or ventilation pipes. The ceiling becomes perfectly even.
C) a long service life. Stretch ceilings are operated for at least 30 years. The design of the installation of ceilings is worked out to the smallest detail, it is technological and reliable. Over time and the influence of various factors, the ceiling will not change its shape and will also delight you with its ideal surface.
D) just take care of the surface. The ceiling has antistatic properties, so it does not attract small particles of domestic dust and does not accumulate it. And plus to everything it is very resistant to the effects of chemicals used to clean household surfaces.
E) a large selection of various shapes. There are many options for suspended ceilings both in the endless choice of colors and shades, and the selection of textures: glossy, matte, translucent, perforated, etc. D. Also a huge number of options for installing various kinds of ceiling lighting.
E) lack of problems. This type of ceiling has practically no shortcomings. On the contrary, the ceilings themselves can qualitatively protect the furniture and walls of the room from leaks and “floods” of the neighbors due to the fact that they delay all the water, preventing it from leaking further, while they do not lose their aesthetics.
The advantages of stretch ceilings are obvious. They are durable, potential problems – a limited amount. True, there are some disadvantages. First of all, this is the price. The cost is much higher than when finishing with primers and enamels. Also, the disadvantages include seams that spoil the aesthetics of the surface, although by buying a ceiling from a polyester without seams, this problem can be avoided.
The result – there are many advantages of suspended ceilings, and minor disadvantages are quite overcome.
