For many centuries, a person faced a difficult question: what materials for such, of course, complex structures, such as bridges, dams or houses – subsequently high -altitude? Reinforced concrete solved this problem. In fact, it is difficult to imagine a more plastic, convenient and durable material that would be also difficult to give in to corrosion. Chemical additives make concrete literally intellectual material, which will fully meet the requested requirements. For example, bridges experience not only the actual load – from passing cars, trains or walking people. Of great importance is that the material from which the bridge is designed is constantly exposed to wind, rain, temperature changes, wind. Only reinforced concrete meets high requirements for strength and plasticity in the construction of bridges.
Chemical additives make concrete more durable and less susceptible to weathering and destruction from water and cold. The use of chemical additives in the production of concrete allows you to exclude vibration from the process for compaction. Chemically improved concrete acquires better fluidity, which increases the life of the solution and makes work with it much easier. The construction of high -rise buildings, the creation of monolithic structures, the construction of complex structures – all this can be implemented using concrete with chemical additives. The resistance to cracks, to moisture, to sharp temperature differences, increases, and that work with such concrete becomes easier and more convenient and it is not necessary to talk.
There are also additives that affect the speed of cement setting, hardening of concrete. Antorozoic supplements allow concreting at temperatures below zero. Crash ones are increasingly used – pigmenting additives for concrete, allowing the use of structures without final decoration. Different chemical compounds for waterproofing are also added to concrete. The concrete design should not always be heavy – then gas -forming additives in concrete come to the aid of the designer, allowing it to make it light due to the formation of a porous mass. These are far from all chemical additives that exist, but even a superficial, runaway review shows that the most demanding builder will find for himself what will satisfy his requests.
