Painting the ceiling – tedious and unloved by many. Nevertheless, we can’t get away from her anywhere, because this is a mandatory component of any repair. With its help, you can refresh the interior and give the room a new mood. Since dyeing the ceiling is not an easy task, let’s dwell on the stages of this work in more detail.
We will start by choosing the right paint. Here you need to be especially careful and not be lazy to read information on the package or apply for advice to the seller.
* Semi -water or half -glossed latex paint with antifungal additives is suitable for applying concrete surfaces pre -treated with primer or putty, on chipboard and fiberboard of the sheathing, as well as on glass -wallpapers and old paint;
* Latex paint with polymer fillers is suitable for whitewashing. She will not exfoliate and drip to the floor when applying;
* Latex paint with high vapor permeability is suitable for ceilings with the remains of oil paint and porous surfaces;
* With emulsion water -soluble paints are usually covered with concrete, plastered and even brick ceilings;
* Matte latex paint is used for chipboard.
Before painting, it is necessary to prepare the room. To begin with, we free it as much as possible from the furniture, the remaining objects and the floor are covered (preferably with plastic film, and not old newspapers). Using a painting tape, we close the place that do not require painting. Do not forget that it is important to correctly calculate the paint consumption. To do this, we carefully read the instructions on the bank. You should also take care of good lighting and proper temperature regime.
To paint the ceiling correctly, you need to start from the corners opposite doors. We dip the brush into the jar on a third of the bristles, remove excess paint on the rim and apply light strokes to the surface. It is important to correctly calculate the pressure power so that the paint lies with a thin and even layer.
If we use the roller for painting the ceiling, then the first thing we roll it several times on the tray so that it is focused. So that there is no spray, with a brush we carefully remove the excess. We will overlap the paint in strips, the pressure is gradually increasing. Traces of the edges of the roller must immediately roll out.

Compliance with these simple rules guarantees us the integrity and strength of the coating.
It is important to remember that the paint after drying is very difficult to process, and to make “corrections” to the finished ceiling is not desirable. However, if the traces of a brush or joints remain noticeable, you can treat the surface with sandpaper and repain. Since the paint is practically not washed off, it is recommended to process the ceiling before repairing walls and flooring.
