A wooden house has become the same attribute of modernity as ASUS laptops or cars with an automatic gearbox. This is no longer archaism in the style of grandmother’s huts, but affordable in price, a high -quality and environmentally friendly dwelling for a modern person.
Why is the tree chosen as a building material? In favor of it, not only price and quality speaks, but also the possibility of quick construction. Houses made of glued timber or log house are collected quite quickly, no need to lay the stone to the stone, wait until the solution froze. And yet, many have doubts – how durable such a house? After all, the tree itself is quite soft material: precipitation, moisture indoors, temperature changes – all this leads to deformation of wood and loss of strength. And if you still recall such unpleasant moments as a fungus, mold, beetles-bouts, and treewriters, then there are fears that a wooden house can be destroyed.
However, modern wooden houses differ from old wooden huts, as well as laptops from the first stationary computers. The tree undergoes special processing before use as building materials. This is both in mechanical processing and in chemical – impregnation of wood with special compounds or coating with paint and varnishes.
On mechanical processing – grinding – not only the appearance and quality of the fit of logs depends. The better the wood is treated, the more smooth its surface, the better the water rolls from such a surface.
Another important processing process is wood drying. Undoubtedly, this increases the cost of the material, but it should not be saved on this. It is possible to build a house from an unheated wood. However, over time, wood will dry out naturally, which will lead to the formation of cracks. In this case, imaginary savings on building materials can result in unscheduled expenses.
And finally, the third whale of wood processing is chemical processing. It consists in impregnating a tree with antiseptics, substances that increase fire safety and varnish or paint. These measures are as necessary for the preparation of a tree as monitors for free work at the computer. Antiseptics are just designed to prevent the development of fungus, mold.
Lacquer’s tree coating not only improves its quality, but also helps to maintain an attractive appearance. Harmless to humans and the environment, the varnish coating of wood is preserved by the unique natural pattern of the tree, which serves as a distinctive feature of a wooden house.
