In the southwestern part of the country between the states of Nevada and California there is a desert, on the territory of which in 1935 the Death Valley National Park was created, occupying an area of 141 square kilometers.
Its western border is the Panamint mountain range, and the eastern border is the Amargosa ridge. The park is open to tourists from 8:30 to 17:30 during the cold season and from 9 am to 16:30 during the warm season.
You can overcome one of the many hiking or cycling routes. During the excursion, you can see sand dunes, marble canyons, stone blocks, dormant volcanoes and unique representatives of flora and fauna; relax in oases where palm trees grow, admire the rock paintings of the Anasazi Indians. You can also meet several families of the Timbisha tribe, whose ancestors moved to the desert 1000 years ago.
