General information
The creative fantasy of a person truly does not know the boundaries. This statement fully refers to the decorative design of flooring, which are one of the most important components of the interiors of premises for various purposes. And, perhaps, the designers have recently been given the most close attention to the parquet board especially in demand in the consumer market. Which, not inferior in beauty to a massive parquet, is more affordable in price, is easy to lay and maintain.
As you know, a parquet board is a multi -layer flooring of natural wood. It is the presence of a layered structure, where the lower layers perform purely technical functions, and in the decorative plan only the upper front layer is used, its relative cheapness is due to excellent operational characteristics. That is why, speaking of the design of the parquet board, they mean the finish of the outer layer made of natural veneer of solid wood of valuable species.
The design of the parquet board is actively developing in several directions. This is the number of rows of lanes of veneer, selective or combined use of certain wood species, in t. h. decorative inserts, a variety of textured processing, steaming, using the effect of artificial aging, etc. D.
Row
One of the leading directions of the design of the parquet board is the use of one, two, three or four parallel to each other rows (planks) of veneer. This is the so -called parquet board with a drawing type “run”, or, in the language of professionals, “deck”. The largest price is not in the form of a massive parquet board by a single -lane option (Full Plank), the smallest – four -lane. As sales practice shows, the most popular among consumers is a parquet board with a three -lane upper layer, relatively inexpensive, but at the same time practical and quite attractive from an aesthetic point of view.
Selectivity
The wide scope for the embodiment of the creative plans of designers is provided by the so -called technology for breeding the parquet board, which consists in the selection according to strictly defined parameters of the elements of the upper layer made of a single wood breed. So, for example, a parquet board of oak, ash, wenge, etc. D. They may, in turn, vary by a selective feature, implying a combination of relatively dark and lighter areas (sabers), the presence of knots, the uniformity of a natural texture pattern, other decorative features. In the price plan, the same pattern is noted here as in multi -lane options: the more homogeneous the color and texture, the higher the cost.
The most expensive parquet board on a selective basis is the type of “radial” (synonymous names – “select”, “luxury”, “elite”), where the monophonic dies of the radial saw are selected with special thoroughness in texture, color, complete absence of knots and other defects.
The next step is a more democratic coloring type “Standard” (“Natural”) with the combination of planks of the radial and tangential sawing, allowing the presence of a small number of small knots and cracks per unit area.
Finally, the lower step of the selective classification “pedestal” is occupied by a Parquet board of the Rustik type, where there are practically no restrictions on the color scheme, the number of knots, sections with zabolonu, etc. are not limited. D. Such a board is an ideal option for interiors in the rustic style “Country”.
Heat treatment
Of course, decisive in design solutions on the basis of the choice of the dominant color scheme of the parquet board is the natural color used for the manufacture of the facial layer of noble woody rocks. However, manufacturing companies to expand the color assortment often practice the heat treatment method, which allows you to give the same gamut of additional shades to the same wood breed. As a rule, for this purpose, a stream of overheated steam or firing in the air excluding air of special thermal chambers at a temperature of up to 180 ° C is used.
Artificial aging
The effect of artificial aging is no less common to ennoble the outer layer of the parquet board. There are various methods and methods, however, the most common of them is a “sample”. The front layer of the board after its assembly is processed with a metal brush, so that soft fibers are removed (selected). Then, colored oil and a special refractory wax are applied to the board, which fill the emptiness formed as a result of the sample, emphasizing the relief and forming black and white veins, which determines the appearance “under the antiquity”. The artificially aged parquet board is distinguished not only by the peculiarity of the appearance, but also by increased wear resistance, although it needs periodic processing by wax.
