If you have free time, you can use it with profit for yourself and change the old doors to new. At first glance, it seems that installing them is very simple and easy. You buy you like, bring it to your apartment, change, strengthen and all – easier than a simple. But it turns out, not everything is as simple as it seemed to us. In fact, from the moment of acquisition to the moment of strengthening there are many nuances. In this article, we will describe the four methods how to quickly and efficiently put an interior door. Using our simple tips on pouring seams between the wall and the door box, you can quickly and reliably install any door.
The first installation method is called through. The whole structure is mounted on the door leaf, then a lock and two loops are inserted into it. The box is drilled through and attached to the wall using large screws (usually enough eight pieces). In order for the design in different states to be in one place, it must be adjusted in place using wooden wedges. After that, the gap between the wall and the box is filled with foam.
The second method is installation using foam. You need to assemble the box on the door leaf. The door is adjusted using the level, measured tape and wedges from wood. Then the box is filled with mounting foam. Then you need to wait a bit so that the foam dries one hundred percent, after which the loops are hung on the box. The gap according to the parish is usually made by the depth of the insertion of the loops, then the castle is installed. But this method has one obvious drawback, since the box may be deformed because the mounting foam with various humidity will change its properties (decrease or expand).
The third method of installation is the through method by the door leaf. The box is placed on the door leaf, then the lock and two detachable loops are inserted. Using three to six points of mounting, a door block, using this method under the return bar of the lock and loop, is mounted in the opening. Using wedges made of wood, the door block is made in place and filled with mounting foam. A small minus of this method is insufficient fastening strength in three places.
The fourth way of installing, involves the use of mounting tape and wedges from wood. In this case, the box is mounted on the door leaf, and then the lock and two loops are installed. Then, using the mounting tape and wooden wedges, the door block is mounted in the opening. The installation tape is required, should be fixed with self -tapping screws to the ends of the wall and to the box. But this method has a negative point – sometimes it is impossible to correctly set the block.
How to fill the seams correctly?
Firstly, using foam. This method requires a little time, all superfluous is cut off after drying. But foam can expand for a long time, and this can lead to serious deformation of the entire structure.
Secondly, a cement solution. This is the most reliable method of filling the seams. To avoid significant changes, it is necessary to stick adhesive tape from the inside of the structure, to isolate the water present in the cement solution. Voids are filled completely, a depth of one and a half centimeter. But first, it is necessary to primed the surface, the walls are cleaned of whitewashing and paint. The seams can be thrown and glued with a sickle, and only then install the platbands.
Thirdly, you can not fill the seams with alabastr, because after drying it can move the box ‘rack.
