Laser cutting of metal – a relatively new method of metal processing, which appeared not so long ago.
Laser technologies are used to create parts of units, devices, equipment for trading, building structures, etc. D. Also, laser cutting was widely used in the field of design and the creation of advertising structures.
Laser cutting is considered one of the fastest methods of metalworking. The speed of work depends on several factors – the thickness of the metal, the perimeter of the part, the size of the metal sheets and the number of parts on one sheet.
In laser cutting, the cut is carried out using a special focused laser beam, which heats up and melts the cut place. Working with a laser is largely automated, unlike other methods of metal processing. Laser cutting allows you to cut parts of almost any complexity, excludes the formation of deformations and provides a smooth cut.
The disadvantages include the fact that laser equipment is quite expensive and does not allow to work with metal sheets more than a certain thickness.
However, these shortcomings pay off the cleanliness of the cut and practically non -waste production. Therefore, compared with such types of metalworking as plasma or acetylene acid cutting that do not give such accuracy of work, laser is favorably different.
Also, laser cutting is indispensable if necessary to significantly increase the productivity of the metal processing process.
Laser cutting is characterized by the fact that even when working with very solid materials, you can get holes of small diameter with minimal thermal exposure and lack of deformation. This allows you to create very accurate details without limiting geometric complexity.
For work, accurate coordinate tables and special software are used, which allows you to use any drawings for cutting. In addition, laser cutting has received its application not only for metal processing, but also for other materials, for example, plexiglass.
Also, laser cutting of the metal allows the process of processing small batch of products, which is important with small -optical or piece orders. With large volumes, high performance is provided and the cost of one unit is significantly reduced.
Therefore, laser cutting was recognized due to a combination of high speed, good quality and optimal price.
