If the metal of the structure of the steel door is quite simple and effectively protected by treatment with anti -corrosion compounds, then the question is more complicated with the decoration. Powdered spraying or color is rarely used for decoration of steel doors in private houses, since the design and style of such doors often simply does not suit our inhabitants, in the last decade have significantly increased their aesthetic level. Good thermal conductivity of the metal leads to the appearance of weaknesses in the thermal protection of the steel door. First of all, this is the profile of the frame of the canvas and the door frame, which cannot be protected by the insulation. The solution is found in the device in the profiles of the thermalists interrupting the heat flow due to the low thermal conductivity of the insert. Similar profiles are widely used in fire steel doors. A steel door, the main elements of which are made of a profile with thermal capacity, of course, more expensive than usual. But the reduction of heat loss quickly pays for additionally invested funds.
Another problem in the “fight against cold” is a large convective heat transfer when opening the door for entering the house. It is possible to solve it only by installing the second “vestibule” door, creating an additional barrier to the penetration of cold air. It can be both the second steel door or wooden. The vestibule of two steel doors will increase the degree of protection of the room, but the inner wooden door gives great choice in design and has high thermal insulation properties. Therefore, the choice of a vestibule door is determined by purely personal preferences of the hosts.
