Ventilation – a vital element of the apartment. It regulates humidity, eliminates unpleasant odors, cleanses the air through a banal shift – takes air, saturated with carbon dioxide from the rooms and serves fresh from the street. More precisely, it should function like that. In fact, very often ventilation systems, especially not in the newest panel houses, were poorly designed from hand, so even initially did not really cope with the tasks assigned to them. In addition, ventilation systems, even high -quality ones, are clogged with time, the craving weakens or disappears at all, you can check it with a burning match to the ventilation grill – the flame should pull in it, but, unfortunately, it is most often not drawn by anywhere. You can expect them from our housing and communal services for a very long time, and it is not a fact that you will wait. So during the repair it makes sense to take care of the laying of your own ventilation system. First of all, it will be needed in those rooms where you need to fight with increasing humidity, temperature and various smells, that is, in the kitchen, in the toilet and in the bathroom. Consider the creation of a ventilation system in the bathroom – it is extremely necessary there, and at the same time it will help to unload existing ventilation, which is why it will begin to work better.
It is best to take care of installing an autonomous ventilation system during the overhaul of the premises – so that everything is done at once. Even if the traction is still not in the standard system, it still makes sense to install additional in the bathroom at least in the bathroom – this will allow you to independently control the ventilation of the room, for example, to strengthen it if necessary. However, you can not wait for the capital repairs, in principle, most likely after installation, only the cosmetic repair of the ceiling is required to hide the signs of the installation. Although, if you have a collapsible suspended ceiling, then this may not be needed – the ventilation system will simply be perfectly hidden under it in such a way that only decorative lattices will be visible at its output.
The simplest and most budget solution is the upgrade of the already existing system. To do this, it will be enough to put special fans at each output that can be turned on if necessary. But, unfortunately, this is not always enough and often requires the laying of additional pipes for ventilation: this may require the state of the main ventilation system or the geometry of the room – in this case, the work will be noticeably larger. But, regardless of this, the most important detail of the system will be the fan. When choosing a fan, several parameters must be taken into account: speed, power, orientation of the air stream (that is, there will be a fan or blow, not everything can be fixed and so). There is a fan selected correctly, it can provide excellent ventilation even the most humid room and even though ventilation pipes can be noticeably clogged. The most important parameter when choosing a fan is calculated based on the size of the room in which it will be applied. Determine the volume of the bathroom, and then multiply this result by 10 – so you get the volume of air that the fan must drive in an hour – after all, for sufficient ventilation, air must be changed a certain number of times. This coefficient should be indicated in the fan marking. Moreover, you should not take not only not powerful enough, but also a super -powerful fan – it will consume significantly more electricity, but at the same time the ventilation quality will not improve.
In old houses or cottages for ventilation, you can adapt other not used for its intended purpose, but not clogged pipes: for example, chimneys or chimneys. They are usually wide enough for the air to come out well and at the same time are originally created in such a way that they have good rod.
In any case, the creation or improvement of the ventilation system is best entrusted to professionals. And for this there are many reasons. Firstly, this process is long and time-consuming and requires a noticeable dexterity: many, having taken to mount the system on their own for saving, throw everything halfway and still turn to the masters-it is more expensive to do this without experience. Again, the specialist will calculate as accurately as possible what the fan is required, it is better to determine where to install it, given the geometry of the bathroom. Further, to install even the simplest option, that is, a fan at the input of an existing system, it is necessary not only to correctly put the fan itself, but also to bring the necessary communications to it – that is, first of all, electricity, for which it is generally desirable All situations, except, perhaps, replacement of batteries or bulbs, contact specialists, because it can be dangerous. By the way, an incorrectly installed fan is another problem: it is completely unpleasantly noisy, so it also vibrates noticeably. If you can fight with noise by installing a layer of sounding material on the air duct, then vibration can only be avoided with proper installation. Moreover, this defect can ultimately lead to very unpleasant consequences, for example, to a chip of tiles near the ventilation hole. Yes, and a good master gives a guarantee for his work, that is, in case of a malfunction, you will have for a long time, to whom to contact.
