Primer for decorating a fireplace

by nevadacountynews

In order to design a decorative fireplace with a qualitatively, you need to choose a variety of ways to glue or stain it. There are several options for primer for adhesive coloring.

For example, the composition, for the execution of ten liters of which it is required to take one hundred and fifty grams of copper sulfate, two hundred fifty grams of laundry soap, two hundred grams of dry animal glue, twenty -five – thirty grams of olifa and two – three kilograms of dessed chalk. First in three liters of boiling water, constantly mixing, dissolve copper sulfate. In another container, glue is boiled at this time, usually two liters of pure water are used for this.

In the third container in two liters of water, soap is dissolved, after which the olifa is poured into the resulting solution with a thin stream. As a result, an emulsion is formed, into which a solution of copper sulfate is added. At the final stage of the preparation of the primer for the fireplace, chalk is added and the volume of the solution is up to ten liters. Such a mixture is called a coupor primer. It has a greenish tint and for better quality is passed through a small sieve. It can be stored for a long time, for this it is placed in a cool dark place.

Another recipe for kvasser primer for adhesive painting. For its preparation, one hundred and fifty grams of aluminum-potassium alum, two hundred grams of laundry soap, two hundred grams of dry animal glue, twenty-five-thirty grams of olifa, two-three kilograms of sifted chalk.

At the initial stage, alum is dissolved. For this, three liters of water are boiled. Two more liters of water are used to breed dry glue. In two more liters of water, sifted chalk is bred. After that, poured into the prepared soap solution, constantly mixing, olifa. You received a solution of soap-cell oil emulsion, in which it is required to add a solution of alum and a pre-sifted chalk. The primer is brought to ten liters, pass through a sieve and used.

It happens that the surface of the fireplace is very smoked. In this case, it is necessary to carry out the priming procedure two or even three times. In this case, the surface is first covered with hot composition, the temperature in this case reaches seventy to eighty degrees Celsius. The second layer has a lower temperature – forty to fifty degrees Celsius. And finally, the third layer is the weakest composition, it can be barely warm silt even cold.

In this case, the second primer should not be done immediately, but only after some time, usually it reaches one day.

Some owners of heating devices are wondering: is it possible to make a solution to a solution without chalk? In rare cases, it is permitted, but in this case coloring will need to be done not once – twice, but more, sometimes up to four times. Since without the use of chalk, the primer will have a dark green color, it will be very difficult to close it. We make a reservation regarding substances used for solutions. Firstly, chalk should be added to a well-sifted form. A small sieve is used for sifting it. Subsequently, through the same sieve, you can strain the already finished primer, then insoluble soap and glue will not swim on the surface of the solution.

Another ingredient is Olifa. It is used to soften the film, which can form on the surface of the solution. If necessary, you can double its volume, then the primer will acquire the best quality. It should be noted that it is impossible to add sulfate to the solution without the use of olifa, it will simply curl up.

How to increase or decrease the density of the primer? Using the added water. You can also try to change the mass of alum, sulfate or chalk. In this case, the emulsion should not be stored for more than a day, you need to use it almost immediately.

Polifka and primer for oil paint

Before proceeding to stain the surface of a decorative fireplace, you need to cover the surface with a small layer of olifa. Thus, you can use Olifa in its pure form, or you can add a small amount of grated paint or dry pigments to it.

Only high -quality olifa should be used for loading, as this will subsequently affect the adhesion rate of paint with the surface of the heating device. As a pigment, a sword or security is usually used. Usually they make up one tenth from the total mass of the emulsion and when added are thoroughly mixed.

In order for the Olifa to cling to the pores of the wooden elements of the house as deeply as possible, the substance must be heated and add the required number of pigments to it. The surface of the fireplace is covered once – twice – twice. At the same time, the second time covered the device only after the old layer of olifa is completely dry.
